Benefits of membership include:
BFMS newsletter (11 issues per year) that includes a calendar of activities and and other news of interest.
Discounts at BFMS-sponsored events.
Preferred admission to certain popular BFMS special events: The Mid-Winter Ball, the Playford Ball, and the Catoctin Mountain Music & Dance Weekends.
Scholarships are available to members for classes and workshops in traditional music, dance, and crafts.
Reciprocity agreements that allow our members to attend events sponsored by the Folklore Society of Greater Washington, and the Annapolis Traditional Dance Society at their member's rates. (BFMS members are admitted to the FSGW monthly program at $1 off the non-member rate.)
Membership in the Society is open to anyone.
The cost for a 1 year membership is $27/year for individuals; $37
for families (2 or more people living at the same address).

A Student membership is available for $20/year. This carries membership privileges without a newsletter subscription.
