Member Sponsored Events
These are events that are:
- Sponsored by a BFMS member.
- Open (at least) to all BFMS members.
- Of a type that generally meets the definition of a "folkie" event.
Tupperware parties, e.g., don't qualify.
Events produced by another
organization shall not be considered BFMS member-sponsored events.
Exceptions or appeals to this policy will be decided by the Board of BFMS.
BFMS asks that the sponsor promote the Baltimore Folk Music Society at member sponsored events.

An afternoon of traditional folk dance from France and Brittany! All dances are taught. They’re easy to learn, easy to do and a whole lot of fun! Try out the bourree, hanter dro, laride, valse, polka and more! Live Music by Balfolk Balto: Ralph Dubayah, hurdy gurdy; Ted Porter, French bagpipes, mandolin; Mark Vidor, accordion. House Concert with Jeff WarnerBFMS is excited to announce that Jeff Warner will be presenting a house concert on Sunday, May 19 at 3 pm. Doors open at 2:30. Ben Hobbs and Julie McDill have kindly offered to host this concert at their conveniently located home in Towson, MD . http://www.jeffwarner.com/. Jeff rarely performs in the Baltimore area, so it will be such a treat to hear Jeff in an intimate, well ventilated, house concert setting. Reservations are strongly encouraged because we expect a sellout .
Please contact specialevents@bfms.org or 410-979-8150 to reserve a seat and get directions. Contributions of snacks and beverages to share are welcome. Suggested admission by cash or check is $20 for BFMS members and $25 for non-members.
