Family Dance

The Baltimore Folk Music Society presents a Family on the 2nd Saturday of the month running from 5:00 'till 6:30 pm, often followed by a potluck.. On Saturday, May 10 Allison Thompson. of Pittsburgh, PA will call lively, and fun dances for all ages. Have you been itching to do the Chicken Dance, or do you prefer to do a graceful waltz with a favorite partner - big or small? This dance will feature many familiar favorites from the family dance repertoire, teamed with some new dances that are sure to become favorites. Allison is part of the lovely trio Amaryllis. Her fellow band members Donna Isaac on violin and Maro Avakian on piano will provide exciting musical accompaniment for our dancing pleasure. If there is interest, we can even learn an English dance or two. The BFMS Family dance is 5:00 to 6:30 pm, followed by a potluck. If the weather cooperates, bring a blanket and we will eat outside on the beautiful grounds of St. Mark\'s. Admission is: $5 members $20 maximum member families, $7 non-members $28 maximum non-member families. No Experience necessary; you don\'t need to bring a partner.
