BFMS Anniversary Bash
On October 9-10, BFMS will be hosting a full weekend of fun and activities in celebration of its 35th anniversary. This will include concerts, a mini-fest at Fells Point, and dances. This will be a weekend of looking back at our roots, as some of the founders of BFMS join us from across the country. But we will also be looking ahead, as we branch out to embrace other facets of traditional music and dance . All aspects of BFMS music and dance will be included in the weekend, including contra dancing, English Country dancing, storytelling, Irish music, singing, and even some rapper dancing and clogging. Many of our sister organizations will be celebrating with us.
We are also planning a 3-hour boat ride on Sunday in the Baltimore harbor on "The Black-Eyed Susan", an authentic paddlewheel boat with two decks. We will likely have one for singing and one for dancing to live music . A delicious lunch will also be included.
